Thankfully, Vulgarmort won't have any official role to play in the memorials for the upcoming 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. New Yorkers have roundly rejected him, his reactions to the attacks were always disgusting, and there's nothing he could possibly add to the solemn proceedings. Luckily, he has another commitment that night, he will be offering color, by which I mean off-color, commentary to a sad boxing match between two past-their-prime fighters.
I can think of no better metaphor for Trump's presidency that having the dunce deliver uninformed comments about a no-stakes boxing match between a never-quite-was and a has-been, whose entire participation in the affray is due to another boxer being out sick with COVID-19. What could be more appropriate?

Participate in 9/11 memorials? Nothing in it for him.
What Anonymous said--Trump gets paid for the boxing commentary. The 9/11 memorials are free.
More disturbingly on the Trump appearance front, he called around to the families of the 13 slain servicemembers from the Kabul bombing trying to finagle funeral invites. I think he has a few on his calendar. I'm trying to imagine what it's like to be grieving and decide you need an attention whore in attendance trying to siphon energy from the deceased for political kicks but fuck it, I've studied ceremonial magic and that shit is necromancy and extremely bad juju.

Maybe Trump will go mask off and trade in his white hood for a black hood and wizard robe.
I somehow didn't know about TFG calling around to the families and I check all the major librul blogs. Did he offend any of them and make them cry this time?
I assume that those who accepted were the ones who publicly bitched about Biden looking at his watch when he was actually looking at his dead former military (one year in Iraq with a Bronze medal) son Beau's rosary on his wrist.
emjayjay--exactly that: basically it's Patricia Smith at the 2016 RNC all over again. I haven't heard of anyone being offended though--because he wanted something, I'm assuming he was on what passes for his best behavior.
