A Proposal for "Doctor" Ablow

Via Tengrain, we have the latest atrocity from TeeVee "psychologist" Dr Keith Ablow. It's been a while since I've taken Ablow to the woodshed...

Anyway, Ablow proposed that men be able to "veto" women's abortions:

I have a proposal for Dr Ablow- if a man wants to veto a woman's abortion, he should have to carry a succession of objects the size of the developing fetus up his ass for nine months.

Being the guy who proposed the idea, Dr Ablow should be subject to this policy as well, with the proposal that he cram objects equal in mass to the aggregate of "vetoed abortion" fetuses up his poop-chute.

On a serious note, isn't it time that Ablow has his medical license revoked?

Aw, you just don't like the guy 'cause he's giving you chrome-domes a bad name.

A friend w/ greater experience than I in mental health treatment has observed that the more educated the mental health professional, the jerkier & less empathetic. Living proof, huh?

If Lex Luthor and Ming the Merciless couldn't accomplish that, Ablow certain cannot.

Ultimately it is the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology who certify Ablow to go on embarrassing the title of 'psychologist' with his egregious stupidity (which is what EliteDaily.com sez in your link).

The link notes:
it is unquestionably clear that he has run afoul of the American Psychological Association’s Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct.

See, there's your problem. The A.P.A. has a kind of a code of conduct but they can't throw him out because he resigned already (all the decent psychologists I know left the APA for the APS long ago, anyway). He doesn't need APA membership to go on practicing; it's just a trade union.

Conversely, if there are standards of ethics and competency imposed by the ABPN, I don't know what they are.

Can we just shorten it to "psycho"?

Rupert Murdoch and his assorted global media enterprises are crimes against humanity.

Yeah, he's in Dante's Ninth Circle, for sure.

A quick web search of "Ablow" and "pregnancy" yields me this gem:

Boston psychiatrist and Fox News consultant Keith Ablow, M.D., says some women seem to view having more children as an alternative to addressing their own personal problems. “Bearing another child can sometimes provide a substitute for deciding on a career path, making a marriage work, or even wrestling with questions of self-worth,” Ablow says.

I'm not sure what it says about the self-worth of a man who thinks he needs to compel a woman into what is, essentially, "forced labor" to sort out his own emptiness and shore up his sense of self-worth. Maybe he could enlighten us as to how the desire of Vergara's ex to still "make babies" with a woman who no longer is with him is a way to "make work" a relationship that has long passed on.

Maybe instead of concentrating on a woman's choices regarding their reproduction, Ablow could inspect why any man wants to intimately control another human being's body for the sake of producing another human being, who presumably will also be subjected to forms of coercion throughout their little life? And suggest replacement behaviors like clue-gathering and healthy boundary-setting.

But until a bloke can carry his own sprog, he should recognize the need to back off a woman's junk on the general grounds that one can't untear a taint. (They can darn it, but damn it, you know that isn't right.)Nor can one unbear a child, but fellas have stepped out of "contracts" since time immem. If Dr. Keith doesn't like it, I would really recommend the pineapple for a pleasant seven-month facsimile and wish him happy ass-stuffing.

Ablow is dumb and patriarchal, he'd never come close to getting a clue.
