Busy Mother Has Time for Helping Jennifer

Ever have one of those moments of synchronicity, an uncanny coincidence that demands to be acknowledged? I got to work around midnight, and my awesome co-worker told me that he had something to show me, something that I would appreciate greatly. Boy-howdy, he was right- he introduced me to this leggy beauty:

Unfortunately, the picture is a bit blurry and overexposed, because it was taken with my cell phone camera, with illumination provided by my co-worker's ultra-powerful flashlight (he's a bit of a "gadget man"). This baby could have comfortably straddled my ear. Note the round object that she's carrying... she'll be expecting cute little baby speedras any day now.

When I finally got a moment to log on and check out the bloggerhood, I saw that Jennifer put up a speedra post. As they say, mi carrera fue clara, my post topic chosen by circumstances. I'd like to thank my leggy friend for taking the time out of her busy schedule to help Jennifer and, by doing so, help me.

I hate to say it, because it's a living thing but ... it looks pretty darn crushable to me! ;p

I see you don't use the blooger tags (such as "Helping Jennifer", which seems to be a feature of most blogs these days).

AHHHHHHHH!!!

Nas-TEE!!!

I know... I know... speedras do good. They eat tons of nasty, irritating things, but... THEY FUCK WITH ME!

But not so much as the blogosphere. Since announcing my fear of speedras... many years ago, I have probably had at least 57 heart attacks since... due to loving links and helpful photos.

I'll have you know, I'm your gal when it comes to lizards, frogs, beetles, caterpillars, earwigs, etc, etc, etc... I am NOT a namby-pamby, but speedras... well, they've fucked with me since I was around 30 months old.

And, I am currently wearing my thundra recommended t-shirt:

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself... and spider."

Yeah, every time I consider tagging my posts, I am daunted by the sheer number of them.

It's sheer comedy gold, a primo post to be sure!

You're going to end up being just as freaked out by the phrase "Helping Jennifer" as you are by the speedras themselves!

Ahh, man. I thought the use of the singular here was awesomely cool n shit. I was thinking, wow, see, if the shirt just said "spiders" like we'd expect then that would indicate fear of spiders, individual discrete things, but to use the word in the singular here indicates a fear of the concept of spiders, of the entire spiderverse if you will, and I was just shaking my head and marveling at the genius of the construct.

Then came the correction. Fallen is my crest...

It could be noted that the Empire has never posted nasty speeder porn, and Zombizles have never done horrible tricksly links to such.

Zombies never get credit. Sigh.

must. purchase...i am firmly in the squishing all spiders camp...despite all my efforts, we continued to be plagued by them this year...and when i say 'we' i mean hubbkf has one fricking spider bite compared to my 20 some...grrr...we spotted two (or possibly three) nasty black ones right by our bed last night...i tried to kill two of them, but dammit, those things are FAST (i haven't seen these particular spiders in our home before)...then, there was a third (or possibly one of the two i tried to beat with my rolled up issue of vanity fair)...hubbkf dutifully squished this one so he could finally get some sleep without me jumping out of my skin every few minutes...

anyway, i love the shirt...and the thought of being in the presence of a spider large enough to straddle b^4's ear is horrifying...did i mention i lived in texas as a teen? yeah...tarantulas...*shudder*
