The Texas Chainsaw MAGA Cur

What is it with guys who are angry at people protesting police brutality and outlandish weapons? The latest incident involves a man in McAllen, Texas brandishing a chainsaw while yelling racial slurs at demonstrators:

Despite what video games such as Doom and movies such as Evil Dead 2, a chainsaw isn't exactly an elegant weapon for a more civilized age... they are heavy, unweildy, and (unless you are Ash from the 'Evil Dead' movies) require two hands to use.

At least this chainsaw chump has been detained by police, much like his soulmate in Queens. I hope the authorities in McAllen interrogate him on suspicion of being Leatherface.

  1. I think he is owner of the store he was ranting in front of. One does not simply carry a chainsaw on city streets.

  2. Maybe they've found their new "Joe the plumber".

From The Monitor in McAllen TX, https://www.themonitor.com/2020/06/06/17000-bond-man-wielding-chainsaw-protesters-mcallen/

Mercedes Schlapp — the White House’s former director of strategic communications under President Donald Trump, who left the post to join Trump’s campaign as a senior advisor — retweeted a post sharing the video with a decidedly less critical caption.

“I’d want this guy with me in a ride or die moment,” the comments Schlapp retweeted stated. “Mexican business owners know what’s up.”

  3. And now this:

After POLITICO reached out to her and the campaign Saturday morning, Schlapp then retweeted another account that posted a version of the video that muted the racist slur. After this story published, she removed both her retweets and issued a written apology Saturday evening.

“I deeply apologize and I retweeted without watching the full video. I deleted the tweet,” Schlapp wrote. “I would never knowingly promote the use of that word. This is time for healing the nation and not division.”

Damn, I can hardly keep up.
