Herbs and Spices
Well, would you believe one herb and one spice? The spice in this case is Ginger, and the herb is catnip... The assistant manager of our retail operation decided to give Ginger a catnip-filled toy, and our precious kitty took to it like a dolphin to a pufferfish:

speaking of seasonings, did you know that spam - the canned lunch meat - is a contraction of 'spiced ham'?
and that the spices - speaking very broadly here - are sugar and salt?
during the previous century, i baked a spam in the oven, with a brown sugar and mustard glazing, dotted with cloves - i had seen the idea on the can, or maybe in a magazine - definitely not on the internet, which wasn't invented yet - it was tasty
