Space Junk

Put on your crash helmets, people, because a satellite will be crashing to Earth in the next couple of days. The last re-entry that received such coverage was Skylab's return to the Motherworld. With this Hail of Metal falling from the sky, the most appropriate song to post is Devo's Space Junk, from their incredible first album:

  1. Devo! I thought that the only song they had was "Whip It"!! You mean, there were more???!!!

I've got a few people on my list that I'm hoping get hit with a piece of satellite. Nothing too heavy of course.....
    This is all very exciting-non?!

  3. I see I'm going to have to put up a post about Devo in order to bring the Devo-deprived up to date. Don't worry, Laura, I'm sure you will come to love Ohio's finest (Thunder excepted, of course).

Thunder and M.B. bring some serious Devo to the table, AK brings the science, and zombie makes me want to hit Summerfest in Fonzietown.

  4. Where's the love for New Traditionalists?

Through Being Cool, Jerkin' Back & Forth, Workin' in a Coal Mine, Beautiful World, and Love Without Anger...that's quite the lineup, my friends.

  5. Hey, I am aware of all Devo traditions (even the new ones)- Jerkin' Back and Forth is one of my all-time favorite Devo tracks.

I guess I have to put up a Devo post next week.
