One way in which I consider myself fortunate is that I live in a locale which actually has a mighty fine commercial radio station, a station which plays an eclectic mix of popular music from the past fifty years and a nice assortment of new releases. Last night, I heard a classic track by Australian band Hunters and Collectors, a band I'd posted a video for in an older entry. Anyway, here's the video for the song I heard last night, the oft-covered Australian classic Throw Your Arms Around Me:

The Youtuberfied version is labelled "Demo", and it is missing the stonking great gut-rattling boom during the percussion break. You really need to listen to the version that was actually released.
morning , weak ,slow .. . but getting ready to throe 'er self in to the tub of promises..on foot .. to keep , always , /i would put on their first album of h .. and collectors, and do some very primal dancing , circling in the hall of the house where i grew up in my teens when every one else was away , / the singer looks like a shorter version of my brother who is a year younger than me ,that brother very male striking in his appearance , the singer older than that brother , my older brother and i noted his looking like younger .. when i had him ,older , go along to a small club here to see him a few years ago ,( something that i rarely do as i've mentioned near , the singer and i did a odd little exchange in the under path after the stage , )while that other brother younger was away doing his usual jetty things , that brother never being as much ..of ..a ..in to ..some ..in song in an intense way like my older and i , /so listen to the full of the first album while you are on guard at work on a head set .. it will keep you very primal and alert when you are weary .. . / of the few that i did go to see live in larger ..winter garden, massey , -mary margaret ohara/ the cocteaus / justin hayward, of draw ..fe voices like my own , and of justin .. the loveliest male voice / all others , smaller , spontaneous street gathering ..comparing again to your friend em ' and others ..of their out out with .. .

ReplyDeleteI shall seek it out.
go along to a small club here to see him a few years ago ,( something that i rarely do as i've mentioned near , the singer and i did a odd little exchange in the under path after the stage , )
That's a nice little anecdote. It's always nice to see a band you enjoy in a smaller venue.
so listen to the full of the first album while you are on guard at work on a head set .. it will keep you very primal and alert when you are weary
This is advice I can use. I will be ever vigilant.
still back ..of trying to remember (in the middle of my day going about here )what i said in passing to..mark.. in the hall below the stage , that stopped him in the midst of all the interviews going on .. his mind blown .. and wanting to follow to talk more , but i couldn't , not then , some day .. .
