Toasty

During the really rough cold snap we endured, one of our managers brought the members of the Rodent Abatement Team home so they could enjoy a nice, heated building. He brought them back this week, but last night was a bit of a cold snap, so I let them out of the building they are currently mousing and let them into the employees' lounge for a spell. They promptly made a beeline for the radiator cover they so love:

They had a nice chance to get all toasty warm... to get them back in their assigned area, I had to bribe them with some kibble. Well, kibble and a self-serve all-you-can-eat mouse buffet.

  1. That's cute. They must have really wanted the treats, because my cat wouldn't have abandoned a warm spot for anything...

  2. Ha! Wait until I tell my two girls they have a job title. May not want to as now they're working for grub and luvs--they may want more than warm radiators and half my bed if they get wind of officialdom!

They're on the payroll, so they know when they have to go back on duty.

    What a great shot!

I like the way they're bunched up.

We keep them together when it's cold, so they can huddle together, but hese two each have their own building during the warmer months.

  4. Pfft. Our two cats, Merl and Princess Monster Truck, suck at vermin reduction. And we even skipped the window plastic this winter (WHAT global warming?) but they still never huddled together. In fact, both of them prefer to huddle with Lucy the Orange Leaky Ass Dog, as long as the other one is not there....

  6. Orange cats. We have had 5 cats to date, and no orange ones.
