After hyping up this whistleblower claim, Watkins delivered a damp squib, rather than a bombshell, a one-minute-and-seventeen-second (17 is a number that looms large in QAnon mythology) video, which is underwhelming, being a series of cuts between publicly available testimony and a scroll through a publicly available Dominion manual:According to Ron: “Today a new legend is made.”

He’s hyping up an alleged election whistleblower on Telegram.
This feels familiar to his MOAB build-up about Pence on 1/6, which underwhelmed his audience.
Nonetheless, he’s got 300k+ followers on the edge of their seats. pic.twitter.com/0YyoebElAW
While most of the rubes were dissatisfied, some of the smarter ones noticed something unusual about the video download:😂😂 pic.twitter.com/4tOZcc6KMw

Sure enough, the rubes got a little more than they bargained for:BOOM pic.twitter.com/Cli4G1vn7Q

The marks, needless to say, were not happy:Ron left some of his followers with an additional gift. 😬🤡 pic.twitter.com/Vi8SuuJWoF

And that, dear readers, is MAGA and QAnon (they overlap a considerable amount) in a nutshell, all hype and predation, with the majority of the rubes being hyped up to be victimized by their leaders. The worst cyber guy EVER (or the greatest troll of all time) got them good, and the sad fact is that, in all probability, only a few of them will peel away from him, just as few of them peeled away from the worst President EVER.Here are some examples of people saying Ron’s “whistleblower” vid contained a virus that overtook their calendar. pic.twitter.com/gsGlgZ7RyH

The Qanon cult zealots really need to look at Ron's handle and understand the truth was in front of them all the time: Codemonkey. Co-DEMON-key. A demon key to what? Exactly!
ReplyDeleteThe guy better watch himself. Dominion is pretty good at suing people. Unless, in this case, they decide he's too pathetic.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with troll, the worst cyber-guy I ever worked with couldn't do a mail-merge, let alone upload a downloadable trojan. Not to mention it trips their trigger, fires off the endorphins, gives 'em a tinkle down their leg. It's a mark of who we are, really, some people just enjoy fouling things up for the sake of fouling things up.

ReplyDeleteSymbolism will be their downfall!

He lives in Hokkaido, he probably thinks they won't bring suit in Japan.

I think he's part troll, part MAGA True Believer, but I think he's a Trump supporter because he's a troll. Wheels within wheels, man!
