Republicans sure do love their email scandals, braying about how Hillary Clinton's emails detailed heinous crimes, and John Podesta's emails exposed a cannibalistic pedo-cult. It's entirely appropriate that emails reveal that Trump pressured members of his Department of Justice to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Trump's team wanted to declare electoral votes from six states uncountable, and urged special elections to take place in these states.
One of the conspiracy theories promulgated by Trump administration officials is a whacko narrative of an Italian military contractor colluding with Obama to flip votes in the US via satellite (that entire thread must be read- the Italian satellite conspiracy was a sequel to the even crazier tale of a US Army/CIA gun battle over a server in Germany).
The very idea that a White House Chief of Staff, someone who would be privy to actual intelligence reports, would buy into a conspiracy theory from the fever swamps of the internet is very disquieting. The very idea that his boss would also do so is absolutely terrifying.
Thank goodness these coup coup for Cocoa Puffs plotters, from Trump right on down to the Q Shaman, were too stupid to pull off a successful block of presidential succession. That being said, I'm not exactly holding my breath to hear the mainstream media issue condemnations.
