***Looks at picture*** Uh, yeah... Well, last Sunday's post employed a "literary technique" known as "foreshadowing"- you see, I posted a video by Black 47, and indicated that the post was inspired by a night at An Beal Bocht, a tavern I frequent. Well, the inspiration for the post was this:
Yeah, it's an opportunity to see the multi-talented Larry Kirwin in a small, snug setting. Don't hate me because I'm beautiful, hate me because I live within walking distance of The Bronx.
Note: I took the picture of the flyer in the loo... yes, this is the typical loo-lighting. Hmmm... Loo Lighters might be a good name for a band...

An Beal Bocht
Ha ha, "The Poor Mouth".
If your favourite pubs are named after Flann O'Brien references then you cannot complain if you get comments ranting about Keats and Chapman and the Mollycule Theory.
pshaw. Why should I hate you? Whenever Black 47 plays in town, they usually play the smallish Shank Hall for me and 300 of their other close friends.
And afterward, you can jump over a couple of blocks to County Clare and drink with them. I have, of course, done so.
Smut should be more careful about showing off his big brain around zombeez.
It's the sort of pub that has a mural of authors, including Flann, on the wall.
